Approximately 200 metres of reclaimed timber joists becoming available from a construction project in London in around 7–9 weeks. The joists are currently installed as part of a ceiling/roof structure and will be removed during strip-out works.
Approximate dimensions per joist are 45mm wide x 240mm deep x 2600mm long. Lengths may vary slightly due to removal and previous installation. Total quantity equates to roughly 200 metres in length (around 75–80 individual joists).
The timber has previously been used in a roof build-up and therefore is not recommended for structural reuse. However, it could be suitable for a range of non-structural applications such as landscaping, garden structures, raised beds, workshop projects, joinery, furniture making, temporary works, or other creative reuse.
There is also plywood sheeting above the joists which may potentially be available for reuse. At this stage we cannot confirm its condition or suitability, as the material above it will not be known until the roof is dismantled. If suitable once removed, this may also be available for collection.
Collection will be from a central London construction site once removed (expected in approximately 7–9 weeks). Exact collection date to be confirmed closer to the time. Interested parties should be able to arrange collection and transport.
