Exploring Industrial Sustainability and Innovation Within Construction

This programme features the CEO’s of both The Construction Industry Council and Design Council who discuss sustainability, the housing crisis and the importance of design within construction. We also feature the following companies:
Astudio, award winning, socially enterprising architects, discuss their research into using algae to create biomass and how to incorporate this into buildings. They also run through their fascinating 63,000 homes project, aiming to build homes modularly to address the housing crisis.
Flexible Space, create under-floor air condition systems, which mean buildings can reduce their size and environmental impact by around 10%. They also discuss how cities and urban spaces can be developed cater for increased demands more effectively.
Churngold Construction, specialise in health and safety within construction and in preparing groundwork sites for development. They offered great insight into BIM and in the long-term strategy for the construction industry.
